The IQ's application has advanced mapping and automation features but it's missing no-go zones which are included on iRobot models. The smart-pathing system of the app permits for better maneuverability and the high-pile feature of its carpet cleaning mode is efficient, although it can get caught in rug tassels.

During our tests, we observed that the IQ handled pet hair with ease. It was able to remove the majority of hair on bare floors and a good amount on medium-pile rug. It was a little less efficient on shag carpets, where it struggled to get at dirt and dust embedded in the fibers. It was able to navigate the legs of a chair, tiny spaces and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. It was slower on floors that were not paved however, it was able to recover speed and was more efficient than the other robots we have evaluated.

The IQ is a better option for most users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a bigger dustbin, a longer battery life and is more adept at navigating obstacles. It also has mopping attachments that can handle sticky debris. On the other hand, the iRobot feels better-built and has fewer components that require replacement or maintenance and has lower recurring costs and creates virtual no-go zones with its companion app. It can even restart cleaning from the point it started if it runs out of battery before having completed the task. The iRobot can also be controlled via voice, which is a huge benefit for many users.

Eufy 11S

The RoboVac 11S eufy robot vacuum isn't among the most feature-rich models, but it does offer great cleaning power at an affordable price. It's a budget-friendly option for buyers who don't need a complicated mapping system or app to control the device. The device has a tendency of bumping into furniture and people along its route. However, it is able detect obstacles with sensors. It stops and emits a loud noise when it comes across an obstruction. It is then possible to manually steer the device around the obstacle and return it to working.

Another fantastic feature of the eufy11S is its BoostIQ mode that allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust the strength of its suction to match the type of floor and the level of the mess. It's also simple to use the remote to direct the 11S in the direction you'd like it to go.
